Obituary of Mary Lou Cochran

Mary Lou Cochran, 71, of Rising Sun, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, November 26th, 2009, at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg.

She was born August 7th, 1938, in Petersburg, Kentucky, the daughter of Ivan and Dora (Ryle) Walston. She was a retired line worker for Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg.

On April 9th, 1955, she married Jerry Lee Cochran, who died October 10th, 2008.

Survivors include her son Rick Cochran and wife Dena of Rising Sun; her daughter, Roxanne Jones and husband Roger of Rising Sun; her grandchhildren, Ashley Cochran, Lyle Cochran, Holy Radcliff and Chris Jones; her great-grandchildren, Devin, Brogan and Addison Radcliff and Jessica Crepin; her gret-great-grandchild, Logan Crepin; her brothers, Dicky, W.S., Cecil, Floyd, Billy and Wayne Walston; and her sisters, Donna Rogers and Barbara Walston.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Walston; and her sister, Betty Chalk.

Funeral services were conducted by Eldon Fancher Tuesday, December 1st, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial was in Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family.
