Obituary of Theda Jayne Hosterman

Theda Jayne Hosterman, 100, of Springfield, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, May 30th. She was a resident at Forest Glen Health Campus for the past 7 years, where they took precious care of her.

She was born in Detroit, Mi in 1920, the daughter of Edward and Hattie Trowbridge. She graduated from the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio in 1941. She was a member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John O. “Jack" Hosterman in 1992.

Jane will always be remembered for her kind, calming character and her strength. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne K Shearer of Springfield and Deborah A Laganke of Brighton, Michigan; 5 grandsons Greg Runyan and Bruce Runyan of Springfield; Casey (Megan) Laganke and Ryan (Brittany) Laganke of Mentor, Ohio; Joe (Lyndsay) Laganke of Peachtree City, Ga; and 10 great grandchildren; Joe, Seanna, Will, McKenna, Louie, Luke, Logan, Lilly, Jack, and Leo.

Private services will be held on Friday, with live streaming beginning at 1:30 p.m. through Littleton & Rue’s Facebook page.

Burial will follow at the Ferncliff Cemetery.
