Martha Louise Lee, 93, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Nokomis Rehab and Healthcare Center in Nokomis, IL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL, with Amanranth rites at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Ralph Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Lee was born on December 19, 1921, in Bethany, IL, to the late Elsworth & Pearlie (Chapman) Scofield. She was a graduate of Mattoon High School in Mattoon, IL. She married Carl E. Lee, on April 24, 1949, in Mattoon, IL. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1996. Mrs. Lee owned McDavid Abstract Company in Hillsboro, IL. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, IL; Eastern Star of Nokomis, IL and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star in Hillsboro, IL; Springfield Court #8 of the Order of Amanranth, where she was a past Royal Matron; Former board member of the Montgomery County Senior Citizens; Rainbow Girls of Hillsboro, IL and Litchfield, IL, where she was a past Mother Advisor.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her two sons, Michael Lee of Hillsboro, IL and Steve (wife, Kay) Lee of Nokomis, IL; two daugters, Merlene Mundhenk of Springfield, IL & Vicki Lee of Peoria, IL; four grandchildren, Michelle (husband, Damion) Peters, Tara Hampton, Corey Lee & Abbey (husband, Josh) Spencer and three great grandchildren, Kace Peters, Lauren Peters & Kayla Hampton. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Pam Lee; one grandson, Christopher Wayne Lee; two brothers, Leo Scofield & Jesse Scofield and four sisters, Vera Vogelsang, Marden Frabotta, Beatrice Kelly & Marjorie Cook.
