Obituary of Charles Wayne Rose

Charles Wayne Rose, age 86, of Red Lick, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. He was born in Madison County on August 10, 1923 to the late Ebb and Hallie Rose. Mr. Rose was a carpenter and a member of the Friendship Valley Baptist Church.

Mr. Rose is survived by: his daughter, Nancy (Dewayne) Coffey of Berea; his sons, John (Judy) Rose of Berea, Jeff (Vicki) Rose of Union City, Dennis (Julie) Rose of Berea; his sister, Opal Deaton of Berea; his brother, Ralph C. (Alma) Rose of Berea. 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Rose and a grandson, Jason Rose.

Funeral services for Mr. Rose will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Sherman Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Austin Thomas, Travis Rose, Justin Rose, Jacob Wayne Rose, Josh Rose and James Griffith.
