Obituary of Earl Glenn Aylor

Earl Glenn Aylor of Tavares passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 87 years. He was born in Hebron, KY. Earl proudly served his country in the US Army in World War II. He played the bugle in the band while stationed in Panama. After his military service he met Catherine and they were married on June 10, 1950. In 1960 they moved to Tavares. Earl worked for Lake County as Deputy Tax Collector for 23 years before his retirement in 1990. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares. Earl absolutely loved music and played several instruments. He also enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Catherine; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Charles Miller of Leesburg, FL and granddaughter, Mary Catherine Miller of Gainesville, FL. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Aylor in December 1967. Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Wednesday, May 6 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a funeral ceremony starting at 11:00 am, all in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Tavares Cemetery.
