Charles Boughan, former Auto Agency Owner, Dies

Charles W. Boughan, 71, of 2117 Warren St., former business man, Davenport, died in his home Tuesday afternoon following a brief illness.

Born in New Holland, Ill., he married the former Mary Scott in Ottumwa in 1911.

he couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1962.

Until his retirement in 1959, he was former owner of Bon Motors, Bettendorf, and of People Auto Sales, Rock Island.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Miss Geraldine, at home, Mrs. Lawrence (Edith) Furry, of Cedar rapids and Mrs. Eva Lee Kepler, of Pittsburgh; a son, Charles D., of Davenport; nine grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Omer (Nola) Stubbs, of Fremont Iowa; and a brother, Paul, of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Stark of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
